How did it feel to stand in awe of the voice of the flaming bush?

Tell me, Moses, how did it feel to be in the warmth of the God-flame?

I wonder if in place of smoke there was the fragrance of heaven,

I wonder if afterwards you wished you could go back again

How did it sound, Moses? The voice of THE I AM?

Was it as thunderous as The Lion, or gentle as The Lamb?

How did it feel to take the sandals off your feet?

Tell me, Moses, how did it feel to stand on holy earth then humbly return to your sheep?

I wonder if you ever returned to that bush, on some random afternoon

And I wonder if you took your sandals off again, too.

How did it feel to be kissed by the tongues of divine fire and empowered by the Almighty?

Tell me, Moses.
